On April 14th, Sullivan University College of Pharmacy's chapter of the American Pharmacists Association will host its 1st Annual Prescription for Wellness 5k Walk/Run & Health Fair, sponsored by Uptown Art Uncorked! Beginning at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park, the 5k route will continue through the beautiful scenic loop.

Following the race will be a health fair, where attendees can receive preventative health screenings and services... and the best part? The health fair is FREE!

Some of the FREE comprehensive screenings and services that will be offered include:
- Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol
- Blood Sugar
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Dental Screenings
- Health and Wellness Counseling
- Red Cross Blood Drive
All money raised will benefit Sullivan University College of Pharmacy’s chapter of the American Pharmacists Association. We are a non-profit organization comprised of student pharmacists. Since June of 2010, our chapter has been offering free Operation Heart Health Screenings in the Kentuckiana area. Each screening offers free blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol readings. During this first year and a half we have targeted underserved areas and have screened over 500 patients.

Late Registration - Tuesday, April 10th through Friday, April 13th at Fleet Feet Sports, 2239 Taylorsville Rd. from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Cash or checks only.

Awards - 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over.
